Care For A Trip, Danny Boy?

Fastest I've ever drawn a thing after a thing is revealed! (Drew this yesterday but because I need preferably five hours of sleep so I put off the shading for this evening.)

I learned of the Danny Pink character at like, 5am yesterday, spent about 20 minutes going "hm", spent my commute going "heh", then spent the whole day on-and-off texting Nehs and coming up with really dumb jokes and headcanons about him and how he interacts with 12 and Clara. We know NOTHING about him and yet I'm already doing this. I need something to pass the time, after all.

I can tell you that my positive feelings towards him are motivated by a few different things; one is that it's going to happen you can't fight it so embrace it, two is that I like having new things to shake up character dynamics, and three is that I already lived through the backlash of when Matt Smith was cast as 11 and never want to see that crap again.

We don't even know WHAT Danny is going to really do. So far I'm calling him a "part-time TARDIS employee" and have my fingers crossed that he isn't a jerk. Or like, the Master. I like him too much already for any of that to happen.

["Kat do you still ship Doctor/Clara?" heck yes I do. These three are turning into another brOT3 for me. 12 and Danny sing karaoke together while Clara records it, Clara and Danny teach the Doctor how to use the cameras on their phones and wind up with gigabytes of weird photos, the Doctor and Clara make Danny feel uncomfortable every so often with how close they can get, etc. etc. These are just SOME of the dumb headcanons Nehs and I have crafted in less than 48 hours.]
